Spring 2025 (January-April)
2025 kidding plans are officially here! Please note, these breeding plans are subject to change at any given time, and this page will be updated accordingly as changes are made.
Reservations can be made at any point in time prior to a doe's kidding date for FREE by either filling out our contact form, or by reaching out to us via Facebook or phone. Reservations are contacted in order in which they are received, and you will have 48 hours upon notification to let us know which kid you would like. If you do not respond in 48 hours, we will move to the next person on our list. Should a kid not be available from your selected breeding pair (due to retaining or certain genders not being born in a litter), you will have the option to choose from another breeding or wait until the following season.
Wondering why different kids have different prices? Our prices vary based on parent factors, pedigrees, LA scores, DHI results, etc. FF are generally going to have cheaper kids due to lack of proven lactations. Buck kids usually have the option to leave without papers, and therefore are cheaper. There are many factors that go into pricing our kids, and more information is available on our Pricing and Policies page.
Starting in fall of 2024, all kids born will be pulled at birth as bottle babies. This is for the safety of our does going forward. Bottle babies will be ready at 2 weeks of age, and arrangements for pickup must be made before then. Bottle babies will need fed 3x a day for a few weeks, and then can slowly move down to 2x a day, then 1x a day over time. Kids should always be bottle fed for a minimum of 12 weeks, though we usually offer bottles to kids for longer to help them grow best. You MUST have other kids the same age, preferably also on a bottle. New babies need buddies in their new herd for the best integration, and goats do best with a friend of similar age. Dams will usually show aggression to new kids, which is why we recommend another bottle baby! (I do NOT require that you get a 2nd kid from us, but you must have another lined up or already have your own around the same age.) We do offer incentives to purchase a 2nd kid at a discount, to help new babies settle in to their new homes with a friend they already know.
Unregistered bottle babies (wethers) are $175 each. If you are purchasing two unregistered bottle babies, they are $150 each. If you are purchasing a wether (bottle baby) to be a companion to a registered goat that you are purchasing from us, they are discounted to $100 with the purchase of a registered kid.
