Taylor'd Acres Sales Policy and Price Guide
Thank you for your interest in our goats! Please review the following terms carefully before placing a deposit. While I know this is a lot of information, these policies ensure the health of our animals, clear communication, and a smooth buying process. By placing a deposit, you agree to the terms below.
General Terms
• Seller's Right: Taylor’d Acres reserves the right to retain any goat prior to deposit without explanation. Once a deposit is made, that goat is reserved for you.
• All Sales Final: Once a goat leaves our property, all responsibility and liability transfer to the buyer. No returns will be accepted due to biosecurity concerns.
• Health: All goats are guaranteed healthy, injury-free, and well cared for at the time of sale. Taylor’d Acres cannot guarantee future health, performance, or temperament once a goat leaves our farm. Deposits & Payments
• A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to hold a goat. PayPal deposits must be made friends and family, include a 3% fee if using goods and service, or be paid in cash.
• An agreed upon pickup date must be set at the time of deposit.
• Remaining balance is due in cash at pickup. Goats will not leave the farm until paid in full.
• If the buyer backs out or fails to pick up the goat on the agreed upon date, the deposit and any boarding fees are forfeited. Pickup & Boarding
• Bottle kids must be picked up by 2 weeks of age unless otherwise agreed. A $2/day boarding fee applies for delays. Kids not picked up by weaning age without prior arrangement will be re-listed.
• Adults and older kids must be picked up within 2 weeks of deposit unless prior arrangements are made. After 2 weeks, a $2/day boarding fee applies. Goats not picked up within 1 week of the agreed date will be re-listed, and all payments forfeited.
Kid Policy (Effective 2025)
• All kids are pulled at birth and sold as bottle babies.
-
Buyers must have at least one other goat of similar age, or purchase two kids together. No single goats will be sold to homes without other goats.
-
This applies to adult does as well. I will sell individually under certain circumstances, but even adults do better acclimating to their new home if they have a buddy that goes with them. Exceptions will be made if there are other goats of a similar age already on site at the buyer's property.
Registration
• All registerable kids will be registered and transferred online at pickup unless already registered. Buyers will receive a transfer notification and must pay the ADGA fee via their own account.
• Taylor’d Acres selects registered names unless otherwise arranged.
Bucklings & Wethers
• Most bucklings are sold as unregistered wethers with the exception of bucklings from our top does.
• Bottle baby wethers: $175 each; $150 each if buying 2+ (pickup by 2 weeks).
• Weaned wethers (12+ weeks of age): $225 each; $200 each if buying 2+ (pickup at 12 weeks or after).
• All wethers leave intact for proper development and health safety. We offer free burdizzo castration after 12 weeks if you choose to come back to our farm for the procedure.
Health & Care
• Our herd is disease-tested annually for CL and Johnnes, and all does are up-to-date on CDT, copper, fecals, and prevention protocols.
• Kids receive coccidia prevention starting at 3 weeks, CDT at 8 and 11 weeks, and are disbudded at 5 to 7 days old unless otherwise requested before disbudding occurs.
• Goats are fed quality hay, alfalfa, minerals, and grain. We maintain strict biosecurity for herd health. It is highly recommended that their new homes maintains quality minerals and forage/hay. We always send a small amount of grain with our goats to ensure proper transition.
Guarantees & Limitations
As much as we'd love to, realistically we cannot guarantee:
• Milk production of does in their new home (DHIR data is available for all of our does on test for buyers to research.)
• Show quality, size at maturity, or presence of scurs in kids as they mature (though our goal is always show quality and milk production!
• Future fertility or breeding success (including bred does), as environmental factors can affect this
• Compatibility with other animals or humans.
If a genetic defect is discovered post-sale (with licensed vet diagnosis), we may offer a replacement if one is available, or credit toward a future goat.
Discounts & Rebates
• Pricing is non-negotiable, except for performance herds (LA, DHI, show). Please refer to our rebate and discount program below to see available discounts and incentives.
• All goats bred by Taylor’d Acres qualify for these programs.
Transportation & Vet Certificates
Buyers are responsible for arranging pickup, adequate transportation, and the cost of any Health Certificate (required for interstate travel), including vet exam, gas, and testing. Questions? We’re always happy to help—reach out anytime! We want our goats to thrive in their new homes and are here to support you before and after your purchase.
By paying a deposit, the buyer agrees to all the terms above.
